On March 19, 17:00-19:00, Prof. Alfred Gerstl,
president of the Central European Institute of Asian Studies, and four of his co-
authors will present the CEIAS report “Partners in need, partners indeed?
Tracking Europe-Taiwan relations amidst global disruption”.
On April 16, 18:45-20:15, Dr. Josie-Marie Perkuhn, Trier University, will
introduce the final report of the Taiwan as a Pioneer TAP Project and
proceedings of the 2025 international workshop Taiwan’s Responses to Global
Megatrends.
On April 29, 18.45:21.00, the documentaries “Island in Between 金門” (Leo
Chiang, 2023, nominee best documentary short film, 2024 Academy Awards)
and „Invisible Nation 看不見的國家” (Vanessa Hope, 2023, Taiwan Box Office
Top 10 films 2025) will be shown at Breitenseer Lichtspiele.
On May 20, 18:30-20:00, Taiwanese-Austrian author Jimmy Brainless will read
from his new novel “Im Spiegel der Ahnen” [In the mirror of the ancestors].
On May 27, 18:30-20:00, Prof. Dafydd Fell, SOAS – University of London, will
give a guest lecture on „Political advertising in Taiwan’s elections during the
1995-6 cross-strait missile crisis”.
