We are pleased to inform you that we, the PhD students of the Department of Asian and North African Studies at Ca’ Foscari University, are organizing a three-day doctoral symposium titled “Interregnum – Delving into the possibilities of the in-between“, which will be held on April 14th, 15th and 16th 2025 in Venice.

The symposium will explore the concept of interregnum as a period of transition and transformation between two established orders, and as a moment characterized by uncertainty but also potential for innovation and change. In the spirit of interdisciplinary research, we are seeking contributions from young researchers and PhD students across a wide range of fields, from humanities and languages to hard sciences.
