Guidelines for Vienna Taiwan Studies Series Contributions Format

Submission of 2 separate files. Please submit in word .doc(x) format

1. your short cv that will appear in the pages „Contributors“ The cv ends with your contact email unless you do not wish it to be published.

Example: Astrid Lipinsky is a lecurer of Taiwan Studies at the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Vienna and the Managing Director of the Vienna Center for Taiwan Studies established in 2009. Dr Lipinsky got her PdD (Dr. phil) at Bonn University, Germany in Sinology, International Comparative Law and Japanology. At the University of Vienna since 2008, she teaches and mainly researches on gender issues, civil society and film.

2. Your text/ Form of your text: name of your text: your name + short abbreviation of title First page: please enter your name ONLY. We need to remove this page for anonymous peer review. See https://tsc.univie.ac.at/vtss/peer-review-process/ . Therefore, the second page does have the title, but not your name!

– bold: Title

– 1,5 line spacing

– text: use Times New Roman size 12 (Chinese: SimSun)

– no headers and footers

– footnotes numbered 1,2,3… (try to be brief), no endnotes, size 10

– we use the Chicago manual of style for citations e.g. (Lipinsky 2015: 210)

– please number subsections 1, 2, 3…

– Please begin with a short abstract followed by the introduction

– your text ends with references.

– Page numbers: bottom of page
