Welcoming Takeshi Niinami to CAPRI’s International Advisory Council
Mr. Takeshi Niinami, President and CEO of Suntory Holdings and Chairman of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, is the newest member of our International Advisory Council. A Harvard Business School alumnus, Tak has over two decades of experience at Mitsubishi Corporation and successful tenures at Lawson, Inc. before joining Suntory in 2014. In addition, he is engaged in several prominent international organizations, including the Trilateral Commission and the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council.
As a seasoned leader and advisor to several Japanese prime ministers, Tak’s insights will be instrumental in guiding CAPRI’s initiatives toward a more resilient future.

Natural hazards such as earthquakes, flash floods, and landslides continually test the resilience of societies across the Asia Pacific. Join our Annual Forum on May 6 for a special panel on “Disaster Resilience for Earthquakes, Typhoons, and Tsunamis.” The discussion will explore how Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines have responded to disasters and are preparing for future crises across government, academia, and business. The panelists will speak from their expertise and experience in responding to disasters, including the earthquake that rocked Taiwan’s Hualien County on April 3, 2024.
